Brasília/DF – A INTERPOL e o Banco do Brasil, com apoio e mediação da Polícia Federal, assinaram acordo de cooperação e compartilhamento de informações relacionadas a crimes cibernéticos. A parceria público-privada, consolidada em 7 de maio de 2018, objetiva estabelecer um fluxo contínuo de dados relacionados a ameaças virtuais e proporcionará o fortalecimento das atividades de segurança cibernética adotadas pela INTERPOL e seus 192 países membros.

A partir do acordo assinado, o Banco do Brasil torna-se a primeira instituição financeira das Américas a integrar um seleto grupo de empresas que irão compartilhar informações com a maior e mais importante organização policial internacional. Com a parceria, o Banco do Brasil poderá enviar funcionário ao Complexo Global para Inovação da INTERPOL, em Singapura, local onde irá trabalhar ao lado de especialistas de empresas do ramo tecnológico e financeiro, além de policiais dos países membros da organização.

Durante solenidade realizada no Escritório Central Nacional da INTERPOL, em Brasília, para apresentação do acordo, o Presidente do Banco do Brasil, Paulo Rogério Caffarelli, celebrou o processo de reconhecimento do banco como primeira instituição financeira das Américas e terceira do mundo a firmar parceria com a INTERPOL. Caffarelli ressaltou, ainda, que o banco já desempenha funções colaborativas com a Justiça Brasileira e a Policia Federal, e, com a assinatura do convênio, serão desenvolvidas soluções de tecnologia de informação e ferramentas estratégicas destinadas a prevenir e combater crimes cibernéticos.

O Diretor-Geral da Polícia Federal, Rogério Galloro – que também é Delegado para as Américas do Comitê Executivo da INTERPOL – destacou a importância de ampliar e intensificar a cooperação com o Banco do Brasil, no combate aos crimes cibernéticos e no desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias de segurança. Galloro enfatizou que o acordo é um passo importante do Brasil na expansão de suas atividades no âmbito internacional.

INTERPOL and Banco do Brasil S/A sign cooperation agreement against cybercrime

BRASILIA, Brazil – INTERPOL and Banco do Brasil S/A, with the support and mediation of the Brazilian Federal Police, have signed an agreement for cooperation and information sharing on cybercrime. This public-private partnership, which became official on 07/may/2018, aims to establish a systematic exchange of data related to cyber threats, so as to enhance cyber security activities undertaken by INTERPOL and its 192 member countries.

Under the agreement, Banco do Brasil S/A becomes the first financial institution in the Americas to join a select group of companies which will share information with the largest and most important international police organization. Under the agreement, Banco do Brasil S/A will send a representative to the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) in Singapore, so as to work alongside specialists from other technology and financial companies, as well as seconded officers from INTERPOL member countries.

During the ceremony at the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) in Brasilia held to mark the agreement, the President of Banco do Brasil S/A, Mr. Paulo Rogério Caffarelli, celebrated the recognition of the bank as the first financial institution in the Americas and third in the world to sign a partnership with INTERPOL. Mr. Caffarelli also emphasized that the bank has already worked in cooperation with the Brazilian Justice and the Brazilian Federal Police, and that, with the signing of the agreement, information technology solutions and strategic tools to prevent and fight cybercrime will be developed.

The General-Director of the Brazilian Federal Police, Mr. Rogério Galloro – who is also a Delegate for the Americas on INTERPOL’s Executive Committee – highlighted the importance of expanding and intensifying cooperation with Banco do Brasil S/A in the fight against cybercrime and in the development of new security technologies. Mr. Galloro pointed out that the agreement is an important step for Brazil towards expanding its activities on the international scene.
